MAP reports from the Black Dog Institute can be delivered to clinicians via secure electronic messaging. The reports will be delivered using Argus Messenger, a secure messaging service which will be installed alongside existing medical software and email or as a stand- alone system.

Yes I want to receive MAP reports electronically. What happens now?

You will firstly need to install the Argus Messenger software. Black Dog Institute will pay the support costs for 12 months if you only want to use it for the MAP.

What sort of system requirements do I need for Argus Messenger?

You’ll need a Windows PC or a Mac with a broadband connection to the internet. 

How do I use Argus to receive MAP reports into practice software (e,g. Medical Director, Best Practice, Monet, Roussell, etc.)?

Argus will not automatically associate the MAP report with the patient. It is up to the practice software user to import the MAP report manually. Suggested steps on how this would be done (may vary according to the practice software in use):

1. A notification letter will arrive in your  practice software’s inbox. THIS IS NOT THE MAP REPORT. This notification letter will give you instructions on how to import the MAP report into your practice software
2. Note down the filename of the MAP report.
3. Open the practice software's patient record and use the document import facility to import the MAP report from the directory designated by your practice to receive MAP reports.
   It is recommended that the MAP report is then moved or deleted from this network folder according to your practice policy.
   

How do I use Argus to receive MAP reports if I don’t have practice software? 

Argus includes messaging functionality that is as easy to use as your email.
You would simply:

1. Open your Argus Inbox
2. The MAP report will be attached to a secure email

Support costs to use Argus after 12 months can be negotiated with Argus Connect directly.
