The Black Dog Institute has developed a 2-hr seminar for personal trainers to raise awareness about mood disorders, focussing on depression and bipolar disorder. The seminar, Tackling the Black Dog – An Introduction to Working with Depressed Clients aims to:

  • Dispel common myths and educate participants about mood disorders (depression and bipolar disorder)
  • Examine the role of exercise in the treatment of mood disorders
  • Highlight the benefits and limitations of exercise for individuals affected by a mood disorder
