Entries for the Black Dog Institute's 3rd annual writing competition - this year on the topic of Bipolar Disorder- closed on 31 January, 2007. Three independent judges had the task of reading the essays and selecting the prize winning entries. The prizes and awards were presented on 23 May 2007 at a ceremony held at the Black Dog Institute presided over by the Assistant Minister for Health (Mental Health) the Hon Paul Lynch MP.

Entries were to be in the form of a written article (of up to 1500 words) and had to address the topic of ‘managing the bipolar disorder highs and the getting of wisdom’.

We would like to sincerely thank all of the entrants. By people sharing their stories with others, it will help the Institute develop a grassroots Consumer Bipolar Disorder Survival Kit.
