Great news! The Black Dog Institute is now one of the charities being promoted by the Sydney Running Festival. The Festival, which takes place on Sunday 21 September, features 4 events – giving people of all fitness levels a chance to be part of Australia’s largest running festival.
So enter now – either in the Marathon, the Half-marathon, the 9km Bridge Run or the 4km Fun Run and raise money for the Black Dog Institute. Last year, over 20,000 people participated – and it’s hoped that this year, it will be close to 25,000.
And if you can't enter, you can still support us by sponsoring one of our many runners.

The money boxes are available from the Institute and when full, can be taken to any branch of the National Australia Bank for processing. Your donation is tax deductible.

The Cole Classic took place on Sunday 3 February 2008 at Manly Beach. The Cole Classic @ Manly is a community ocean swimming event, for all ages from 9 years old. Swimmers can choose between the 1km, 2km swim or for the experienced ocean swimmer a 10km swim. Organised by the Cole Family in association with Manly Life Saving Club it is a not for profit event. The Black Dog Institute was one of the official charity beneficiaries for the iconic Australian event in 2008. Peter Joseph, Chairman of the Black Dog Institute, and his daughter Millie raised over $5,000 for the Institute, well in excess of their target.
