Three young, naive and foolhardy friends test their relationships, their bank accounts and their personal safety in an effort to traverse the globe and achieve their childhood dream to become global adventurers. Ben, Howie and Danny, from rural NSW found the lure of such mythology was too strong to resist. With each sharing a love of the ocean, the group concocted a plan to surf the 7 seas of the world, a trip that would see them visit all continents and 25 countries; negotiating a multitude of languages, cultures and environments. A large part of their mission was always to share their journey, so they filmed it. They visited over 100 schools across 3 continents and shared their story. 3mates7seas is now a documentary which they hope will help raise money and awareness for the Black Dog Institute. In Ben’s words “The Black Dog Institute was instrumental in helping me throughout my own episode of depression and also helps thousands of other people suffering from depression every day. I encourage you all to take a look at what they do, tell your friends about what they are doing and give generously".
50% of all profits from sales of the 3mates7seas DVD will go directly towards the Black Dog Institute. www.3mates7seas.com
