Getting involved

We want to make it as easy as possible for people of all ages from young children to the elderly to participate in Exercise Your Mood Week. Simply organise your own event or participate in one of our events. You can also set up your own fundraising page online just follow the step by step guide on our website. Here are just a few suggestions to get you started....

Exercise Your Mood Short Film Competition

We want you to submit a short clip (90 seconds) showing us how you can get up and get moving to improve your mood. The winner will receive an Apple iPad (32GB with Wi-Fi) valued at $759. Read more

Schools

  • Organise an Exercise Your Mood Day at your school on a sport or PE day
  • Hold a cross country running event, or a walk-a-thon around the school grounds at lunchtime

Workplaces

  • Participate in a major event like the Blackmores Sydney Running Festival and you or your team can run for the Black Dog Institute.
  • Try a lunch time pilates or kick boxing session, a walk or jog around the local park

Community Events

  • Organise your own walk-a-thon, marathon, biathlon, triathlon, football or basketball, gala day, cycling event, swim challenge, group pilates, tai chi or yoga event!

Volunteer

You can help with the organisation of our events as a volunteer. To register your interest for the Volunteer Program, please complete our online Expression of Interest Form.
