Individuals, schools, community groups, corporations and other organisations can raise funds for the Black Dog Institute. There are lots of fun ways to do this like organising a trivia night, charity golf, tennis or bowls day; hosting a dinner, a wine tasting or a barbeque; or getting sponsors for a community sporting event.
We are happy to assist with your fundraising efforts and can provide promotional material and the Black Dog Institute logo. If appropriate, we may even be able to arrange a guest speaker for your event.
If you have any queries please contact Vicki Miller on 02 9382 9263 or vicki.miller@blackdog.org.au
If you are running a fundraising event, you can even create your own fundraising page or we can create one for you with Everyday Hero. This is a special website for your family, friends and colleagues to access where you can share a few words and pictures. When people access the site they can make donations and leave a message. All donations are tallied and displayed in the fundraiser meter for everyone to see. Click here to create your own fundraising website.
Are you interested in raising money to support the work of the Black Dog Institute? We welcome all enquiries and encourage members of the community to help us destigmatise the issue of mood disorders in the community by organising your own fundraising event. Please read the attached guidelines and submit the Application Form if you would like to organise an event. Download the guidelines [PDF, 3MB]
The Black Dog Institute logo may be used by organisations and individuals only with the permission and approval of the Institute management team. Click here to apply for approval to use our logo.
To celebrate a special occasion whether it be an anniversary, birthday or milestone you can arrange for friends and relatives to make a donation to the Black Dog Institute. Sometimes gifts are just not appropriate but your friends and guests feel the need to give. So why not encourage them to support your nominated charity.
It’s so simple to create your own fundraising page. This is a special website for your family, friends and colleagues to access where you can share a few words and pictures. Often families ask their friends to make a donation to a preferred charity rather than sending flowers when their loved one passes away. The attached Sympathy Card has Black Dog Institute donation details on the reverse and can be downloaded for you to print out and have available at the funeral service. It can be printed in colour or black and white on an A4 page. Simply fold in half twice for an attractive card that mourners can take away from the service.
