Dr Tjeerd Boonstra is a research fellow in the Digital Dog team at the Black Dog Institute.
Tjeerd Boonstra received a PhD from the VU University Amsterdam. He is currently a Research Fellow in the Digital Dog team at the Black Dog Institute. Tjeerd has research interests in social connectedness and mental health and is involved in the development of novel prevention programs targeting social networks. He leads a research project that develops a mobile phone app to automatically map social interactions and detect isolation and social withdrawal. This work aims to identify early warning signs of mental health problems in adolescents.
