Research studies for people with grief
We are seeking participants to help us advance what we know about people who are affected by grief and the treatments and resources available to those whose mental health may have been affected by grief.
Chief Investigator: Professor Philip Mitchell
When someone dies adolescents are often among the bereaved. However, most research and most of the support programs available are focused on adult populations. As such, the impact of suicide or other types of death on adolescents is still poorly understood. With the current study, we want to learn about grief in adolescents, and how we can better help bereaved adolescents.
Treating prolonged grief
This treatment study is testing how two effective psychological treatments (cognitive behaviour therapy and mindfulness therapy) compare in helping people manage prolonged grief.
