Mrs Carol Berg, BMus, MM
‘I believe in increasing awareness about the importance of mental health, and then making the best treatment available to as many people in need as possible. The Black Dog Institute embodies the very best of what is being done in this area. Its multifaceted approach incorporates research, education and clinical translation, and is making a huge contribution to a significantly under resourced area of health in the community.'
Carol has worked as a music teacher in schools for over 25 years. She has always been interested in social welfare. Over the last 12 years Carol has been closely involved in operating Lou's Place, a drop-in centre for women who are often severely disadvantaged, survivors of trauma, domestic violence and usually suffering from complex mental health issues.
