Navigating your teen's mental health
Designed for parents and carers, this presentation aims to educate the adults in a young person's life to help increase mental health literacy, reduce stigma and promote help seeking.
Whether your teen is experiencing issues now, or if you want to be prepared for the future, this presentation will benefit any parent or carer of a young person.
Navigating your teen’s mental health is a 45 minute program delivered by a trained presenter with a lived experience of mental illness during adolescence (either as a consumer or carer). The presentation aims to increase mental health literacy, reduce stigma and promote help seeking for young people.
Navigating your teen's mental health covers a tough topic in an engaging way. Through illustrations, facts and storytelling parents and carers will learn how to spot early warning signs of mental health issues, when and where to seek help and how to support a young person you care about.
