Developing our Community Clinics
Published: 15 December, 2017
On the 14th December 2017, a working group of people with lived experience, clinical psychologists and Black Dog Institute professional staff came together to provide input into the new clinical service delivery model.
In preparation for a reimagined clinical service model in 2018, the Black Dog Institute has led an interactive co-design workshop to seek input into its clinical service delivery.
The one-day workshop included people with a lived experience of mental illness, to prioritise their perspectives and needs in delivering the highest quality in clinical care.
The session also featured clinicians, researchers, representatives from NSW Health and creative thinkers, who consolidated their learnings to help promote knowledge translation within Black Dog’s clinical service settings.
Co-design is an approach to devising new systems and processes which involves active participation from a range of stakeholders to ensure the finished product is best suited to user needs.
