Dr Martin is a Clinical Neuropsychologist and postdoctoral researcher in the UNSW School of Psychiatry.
He is the leader of the neurocognitive research stream of the Sydney Neurostimulation Centre (SyNC) based at the Black Dog Institute. He is also the senior project officer for the Clinical Alliance and Research on ECT (CARE) Network, a large network of national and international hospitals which collects a common set of clinical data with an aim to improve ECT clinical practice. Dr Martin’s research interests include non-invasive brain stimulation techniques and their associated cognitive enhancing effects, improving methods for monitoring the side-effects from ECT, and developing novel treatments for depression. He is currently the recipient of a NARSAD Young Investigator Award.
