Dr Kit Huckvale is a Black Puppy Postdoctoral Fellow at Black Dog Institute.
His research interests include mobile health, quality and safety evaluation, behavioural and affective design strategies for eHealth and machine learning. Kit completed his PhD at Imperial College London in 2016 before joining the Black Dog in October 2016. He has been awarded over $400k in academic awards and has published over 35 papers. He is medically trained doctor, an expert in health informatics and mixed methods research, and has worked with Microsoft Research Cambridge, Novartis and the UK Department of Health on translational projects in e and mobile health. Huckvale will focus on Theme 3a, and in particular understanding and translating engagement strategies from marketing and social media into suicide prevention (and mental health interventions more generally).
